McDONOUGH, Ga. — Greenville FC lost 3-1 in its inaugural match Friday against the Georgia Revolution.

Lander men’s soccer coach Lee Squires is the coach of Greenville FC, which is playing its first year in the National Premier Soccer League.

E.J. Henry scored twice in the first six minutes to put the Revolution up 2-0, but Greenville played even the rest of the way.

Michelangelo Dovidio scored the first goal in Greenville FC history in the 73rd minute when he received a Malcolm Frago corner kick and found the back post to make it 3-1.

Greenville FC will open its home slate at 7 p.m. May 12 against Inter Nashville FC at Furman University’s Eugene Stone Soccer Stadium.
